Week 6 is behind us and it was one of the tougher weeks we’ve had all year. We went 8-6 straight up but we did go 2-1 on our picks ATS. This moves us to 61-32 straight up and 13-8 ATS on the year. Week 7 has some favorable matchups so we like our chances to improve off of a lesser week. Now for my week 7 NFL picks…
This should be an ugly Thursday night football game. The Browns are injured everywhere and will be without their starting QB Baker Mayfield which is going to make things very difficult for them. The Browns opened up as 3.5 point favorites and that line has moved all the way to 1.5. This shows that a lot of the public is heavy on the Broncos in this one despite them not playing well the past 3 games. The Broncos are 0-3 ATS in the last three games but I see them turn it around against a Bakerless Browns team. This game is one of my favorites ATS this week. Take the Broncos +1.5.
Pick: Broncos / Broncos +1.5
The Panthers are coming off of three straight losses while the Giants are tailing right behind them with two straight losses. Both these teams haven't been the most exciting to start the year but I expect this to be a somewhat exciting game. Both these teams are banged up and the Panthers have looked lost on offense without their star running back. I like the Giants being home underdogs here and I expect them to pull off the upset. Smart bet would be Giants +3 but for the sake of the picks I'm taking them straight up too.
Pick: Giants / Giants +3
This is a really tough game to predict. Both these teams suck. The Dolphins are coming off of a loss to the Jaguars in London, and whenever you lose to the Jaguars there is almost no way but up… The Falcons are coming off a win and a bye week so you know they will be prepared for the Dolphins. The slight edge goes to the Dolphins on defense but I think Matt Ryan has a good day and the Falcons hand the Dolphins their 6th loss on the year.
This should be a blowout in LA especially after the Lions got absolutely stomped by the Bengals last week. The most interesting part about this game is the QB match up, and how both QBs are going against their former teams. I think there is a little more on the line for either team in this game so I think its going to be closer than it looks on paper. Eventually I see the Lions falling to 0-7 but not after giving the Rams a proper fight.
