Week 2 is behind us and we went a solid 11-4 straight up (only 15 games because I missed Thursday night) and 5-2 ATS. This puts us at 20-11 straight up on the year and 8-3 ATS the spread. Week 2 had some amazing games so make sure you check out the week 2 recap on this blog! Now for my week 3 picks…
The Cardinals are coming off of a crazy win in Minnesota and the Jaguars are once again coming off of a loss. The Cardinals defense looked pretty awful against the Vikings but this Jacksonville offense is not very good. I don't expect anything crazy to happen in this game and I believe that the Cardinals should handle the Jaguars easily in a blowout.
Pick: Cardinals
This is a good AFC North rivalry game. The Bengals offensive line has looked terrible again this year, and has given up NINE sacks through the first two games. The Bengals themselves haven't looked too bad after almost beating the Bears last week. On the other hand the Steelers did not look very good against a surprising Raiders team in their loss last week. The Bengals haven't won a game in Pittsburgh since 2015… I don't think that changes and the Steelers defense should wreak havoc on the Bengals offensive line.
Pick: Steelers
The Vikings are facing a chance to start 0-3 on the year and I cant imagine thats what they had planned at all to begin the season. They are going up against a tough opponent in Seattle who recently lost in OT, and blew their large halftime lead against the Titans. The Seahawks should be coming in looking for blood after last game, and the Vikings are wounded mentally after a close loss against the Cardinals. This should be another close game but Kirk Cousins is 0-3 against Seattle after signing with Minnesota. I think his trend continues and Seattle takes this in a close one.
Pick: Seahawks
The last few matchups between these teams over the years have always been electric, or the 49ers just blew out the Packers. I don't think that this game will be a blowout after the Packers regained some confidence with their win against the Lions on Monday night. This is a short week for the Packers and a game on the road in a stadium they have not fared too well in. I think the 49ers establish the run game (with whoever they have come Sunday) and should win this game in a tight one.
